SLJ - Week 1 - Day 1 - Activity 1 Explorers

these are the foods i would take if i was stuck somewhere and i might starve overnight and at daytime. 

1. i would take lots of canned foods before my other foods runs out and i starve in hunger.

2. i would take lots of Iodine pills so i can stay healthy and not run out of drink supplies because my body needs lot of water and getting it from the ocean is the best choice. 

3. i would take ice creams and ice blocks to cool me down when i'm at a hot place ill eat all of it before it melt.

4. i would take lots of fruit like watermelon and other fruit because i love fruit like mango and peach lot other fruit.

5. i would take a very yummy treat like cake,biscuits or chocolate so i can eat something yummy when i am stuck in a deserted island or the beach.

6. i would take some takeaway foods like KFC,McDonald others takeaway foods and cold drinks and frozen drinks.

7. i would take some vegetables just to stay very healthy when i am eating lots of unhealthy foods that i'm taking.

8. i would take Fruit Kebab cause it's healthy and I can grill them.

9. i would take chips to because i like eating some Doritos and other chips to eat that is very yummy. 

10. i would take extra food just encase there might be people stuck there too and they will starve i will provide them with food and water. 

what material you are going to use to build your house

the materials i will be using to build are metal and wood. i would use the wood to build the outside and the inside i would use these to build a very big house and paint the inside and the outside of the house i will use these materials to build a very big and a very beautiful house there will be very cool features so anybody else can buy.

i am going to use these materials in the feature so i can build my own dream house and build a house for other people to live in and build a house for my family.

The legal Stuff

The companies are angry at the council because they are taking lots of of time to build the consent and it is taking a lot of money from the council.



1: If you a get consent  you will be able to build your house. 

2: If you build your house on top of plants and when you are finish building you will have to plant it again.

3: You will get approval to build your house 

4: You need consent  for many things not just building a house.

5: The longer the council takes to build consent the more money they lose.

6: A building consent is written approval from them to carry out specific building work on a specific site which must comply with current  regulation.


7: In different cities there are specific days that the council will give you the paper if he applied or not. 

Using resources for building

There are lots of people in south Africa who are using lots of plastic bottles and clay mud to build their own house. they are using these materials because they could not afford any materials like metal wood or anything else to build a house. it is very sad because they can get cold at night and there house are not safe enough for them to live in.

In Tonga people are using rusty metal and dirty wood to build a house. they find stuff in the streets like old wood or bricks to build their house. in Tonga people can not afford anything. sometimes people use bricks to build a house i feel sad because the bricks on the walls are dangerous because people might hit their head on it.

   

Designing our dream home

Many people choose to design their own dream home. There are a lot of factors to think about when building your own home. 

What do you think are some factors to consider when designing your own home?

1. Safety house for the family.
2. big space so the family can fit in and their stuff.
3. Windows so that air can come in.
4. How much cost?
5. Planning
6. fluffy mat. if they have a baby and the baby might fall.

Elon reeve musk is a Business owner, inventor and an investor. Elon musk is a CEO and CTO of space X. Elon musk’s work has impressed people live with cars like a Tesla car. The Tesla car has helped a lot of people around the world. People likes driving in Tesla cars because it is a more safer car for them to drive in. Elon musk is opening his new invention which is the cyber-truck.

Five rules that people should follow when sharing and/or streaming videos online. 

1. Do not share any private videos of yourself and private pictures online.
2. Do not share your address online to anybody or your password for your social media.
3. Don't share any rude videos or rude pictures or yourself online to people.
4. Don't give people your phone number online unless you see their face in real life.
5. Don't say bad stuff to people online and don't talk to people online that you don't know.

SLJ - Day 4 - Activity 3 - mass megration

I think that building a wall between Mexico and the USA is a bad idea because mexico might get angry and tear down the wall Then mexico will attack the white house. I think It is a bad idea because mexico is gonna run out of supplies and gonna need help from trump. Think It is a bad idea because mexico needs to encourage trump to make the USA a better place.

SLJ - Day 4 - Activity 2 - Fighting for freedom pollution

                                        Air pollution

My issue is air pollution because it is damaging the ozone layer which create global warming and it melts big part of ice from Antarctica that makes the sea level higher and lots of islands. It is important to me because my family lives in an island and they might drown. Air pollution is causing damage to the earth and islands are already sinking.

SLJ - Day 4 - Activity 1 - Leading the charge

If i was a principal I would change the the swimming pool because some kids in the juniors might drown.

I would change in school if i was a principal is the school playground because kids might not like the old playground.

I would change the school field to a sports field for athletes to train for athletics or any other sports.

If i was a principal I would grow more trees to breath and grow house color trees in school.

If i was principal of the school I would change the one rule like no taking food outside and teachers have to check everybody if they have food or rubbish.

SLJ - Day 3 - Activity 3

the person that has made an impact in my life is my mum because she has worked so much to make our family happy and always support our family to work hard in learning to get a better job for us. when my mum comes home she always make me fell happy and safe around her. my mum is very smart and kind mum and she is my superhero. without my mum i wouldn't be happy or fell safe i love my mum and especially my dad and my two sisters I love my family.

SLJ - Day 3 - activity 1 water project

i learnt that the water project are helping countries like Rajasthan,India and sub Saharan Africa  to have access to clean and safe water for people to drink. in Africa people go and search for anything to drink. on rainy days people put bucket outside next to their houses for water to drink. sometimes they drink water that is contaminated by animals and humans. almost 1 billion people don't have access to clean water. people like peter chasse organisations like the water project to help address this issue and bring drinkable water to countries that don't have access to clean and safe water.

the black ferns are getting paid less than the All Blacks people call it the gender pay gap. women athletes deserve to get paid the same amount as male athletes because women do the same things that male athletes do. but don't get paid the same as them. I think that the black ferns should get paid the same amount minus the Gender pay gap.

SLJ - Day 1 - Activity 3 - BFG

The book starts with a young girl named Sophie lying in bed in an orphanage after her parents died in a car accident. She can't sleep, and sees a strange sight in the street; a giant man, carrying a bag and an odd trumpet. He sees Sophie, who tries to hide in bed, but the giant picks her up through the window. Then he runs incredibly fast to a large cave, which he enters. When he sets Sophie down, she begins to plead for her life, believing that the giant will eat her. The giant laughs, and explains that most giants do eat human beings, and that the people's origins affect their taste. For example, people from Greece taste greasy, while people from panama taste of hats. The giant then says that he will not eat her, as he is the BFG, or the Big Friendly Giant.

In Dream Country, the BFG demonstrates his dream-catching skills to Sophie; but the BFG mistakenly captures a nightmare and uses it to start a fight among the other giants when Fleshlumpeater has a nightmare about Jack. Sophie later persuades him to approach the Queen of England about imprisoning the other giants. To this end, she uses her knowledge of London to navigate the BFG to Buckingham  Palace, and the BFG creates a nightmare for the Queen, which describes the man-eating giants, and leaves Sophie in the Queen's bedroom to confirm it. Because the dream included the knowledge of Sophie's presence, the Queen believes her and speaks with the BFG.

cyber smart learners are creating a positive digital

a positives digital footprint. you should really think about what you are posting about yourself online  and what you say to people. When you are posting things online make sure you don't have your personal information and if it does people will start to know where you live and they will know where and they will follow you and do something to you. When you are posting things about yourself make sure you know what they are saying online so that you can stop those people from doing it. make sure that people is not making bad comments on anything you post and if they are they will be in serious trouble, that is why you should be cyber smart when you are going online.

Treasure map - math problems

Today I solved a problem about a treasure map. how the map goes there is five squares going out,five squares going down and altogether there is 25 squares. So the problems says that there is three trees going out east and four granite boulders that are going down south and we have to find the treasure. Due to the treasure map the chest is half way between the rocks.

Genomics sharing at point England

We walked from glen brae to Point England, as we were walking we all were with their buddies talking about what they are going to share about genomics at point England. When we got to Point England we walked in and sat next to the point England year seven and eights.  As we were waiting for glen Innes primary to arrive, Point England started with a prayer and we sang a song. Once glen Innes school arrived Point England did a waiata for us to welcome us into their beautiful school. After their waiata we split into our little genomics groups and then we split into each classes. In the classes we introduced ourselves and talked about what learnt about genomics. Point England knew lot's of facts about genomics but we also did really good, we showed our genomics books to them and Point England was really impressed by our projects we made for genomics at the end of the day some of us got prizes for answering the questions that Whaea Jannie and Thierry asked us.

Today’s current events was about a fire happening in the sky city. A major fire has

hit Auckland's sky city. The fire went from level 6 to level 7. I heard that the fire

happen because one guy was smoking in the sky tower and he left something on and

went inside. st johns says one person was admitted to Auckland city hospital in a

serious condition.

Photos are important so parents know what you are doing. Photos are important to show what you look like and information about your life. Photos are important because without photos you remember things if you want to look back to the past.

Photos are important because when there's someone that was in photo of the past they would be brought up and talked around so this person won’t be forgotten.
