life education caravan

life education caravan

on Tuesday  we had our first life education lesson's in caravan with Nicole fonua as our tutor.we first talked about our felling's and our well beings.she told us how our body's are very important and how our hands are working because our brains sends message to your hands or other body parts.  

on Wednesday we went for another lesson with Nicole at the caravan.we were learning about our body, how we grow and puberty. we talked about the physical,emotional and social changes in our bodies we all were given cards to read and stick it next to the right word which are physical,emotional and social.

on Thursday we had our last lesson in the caravan with Nicole.she showed us a video that we go through puberty beings at the age of nine or ten and then it last for 7 years.

puberty is when kids starts to grow.they start from a nine or ten years old and last for seven years.

digital immersion

today we had a  session with Gary from the digital immersion.we learnt how to program an robot to move one place to another by programming it.we used an special language called binary to program our robots,in our groups we had fun learning how to program an robot and learn binary language.but in the beginning was challenging .

When he was young. he read a lot of adventure stories.
What did caving offer marcus that other sport didn’t?
He played football and he enjoyed the team spirit but he didn’t spend all week thinking about football just like he did about caving.

1.when he was young he was reading a lot of stories about mountaineering.
2.Then one day he saw an documentary about the nettlebed cave near nelson.

how to make things glow in the dark?

yesterday we went to room 7 for science intensive with Mrs Tofa we were learning about how things glow in the dark the materials we used are

- cup
- water
- high lighter ink 
- tape 
- miss cards mobile
- purple and blue marker

1. first we filed in an half way water in the cup 1/2.
2.then we putted in the ink of the high lighter and mixed it. the colours were green,yellow,orange and pink.
3.Miss card and Mrs Tofa used tape and put it on miss cards torch then they coloured it with an purple and blue marker on it to make an black light. After that Mrs Tofa took us to the dark room and turned on the torch then the cups were starting to  glow so we painted our hands and faces with it.
