Maths problem From Walter

i was solving another maths question from walter and we had to find the premiriter so my strategy was 500m + 300m = 800m, 800 x 2 = 1600m squared.

today in my maths group we had to work out problems from walter so in this question we had to find out the premiriter so i did 5cm + 4cm = 9cm + 3cm = 12cm.

Maths Tahi DLO


today in my maths group we were talking about measurement. we had to find out how much mats they needed to cover the area of 60 mats and the answer was 600mat that they needed to cover the hole 60 mats. after finding out our answer we had to find out the perimetre on how many metres lesieli walked so our answer was 100 metre.

Writing group reflection

Today in my writing group we were talking about the benefits on how to grow a vegetable garden during winter. we also talked about making our own garden next week. people do advertiements on youtube to help people grow their garden during winter. it is good to plant during winter because they can grow more food and save up more money.

Kawakawa explanation writing


Kawakawa is a tree itÅ› one of the most important traditional trees to Maori. The kawakawa tree can be found in the North Island and the northern half of the South Island.

It is important to Maori because the kawakawa tree can help you with medicinal problems. The Maoris believed that the kawakawa tree had medicinal properties. Maori use the kawakawa as rongoa to treat illnesses. The Maori wear wreaths of kawakawa on their head as a sign of mourning.

Maori use the kawakawa tree traditionally to treat cut wounds and rheumatic pain. The Maori chew the kawakawa leaves to heal toothaches. kawakawa tree leaves are also edible. You can use it to make kawakawa tea and you can eat the leaves. 

Kawakawa tree grows up to 6 metres tall. It has heart shaped leaves that have prominent veins and they are dark green to almost yellow and green colour. They are covered with holes made by a kawakawa looper moth caterpillar. The tiny flowers are in upright catkins like spikes.
