Sina and the Eel - Samoan Myth - DLO Samoan language week

Long long ago in the anccient island of savai´i there was a girl named Sina she has a friend that was an Eel every evening under the moonlight they would swim and talk sina fell in love with the eel. the Eel told sina a story of how he once was a prince. but then he grew lager and more demanding to Sinas love so he threatens sina but sina manged to escaped and went relatives to relatives in a nearby village.

even though she ran away from the Eel he would still follow her. she told her uncle and her cousin so her cousin of her fear of the Eel so her cousin was sent to kill the Eel. on their battle the Eels head was quikly shattered but on his last breath he asked sina to burry his head. So when Sina planted the Eels head it grew into a cocnut tree that gave Sina refreshing water.
